Sanctuary of Hope and Recovery is a "Resource center for Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, Eating Disorders, Elders Abuse, Family Crisis, HIV/AIDS/Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Missing Children, Rape, Runaways, Youth Crisis Substance Abuse, Suicide, and Depression."
Although the date and founder are unknown, the most interesting portion of this small, but illustrative room in SL (aside from the plethora of facts and help advice for a variety of conditions) is the concept of avatar-to-avatar counseling; there are two boxes in the room: one for scheduled meetings and the other to display any online counselors. This could be vital to someone who requires immediate counseling even in the wee hours of the night when any other private practices would be closed.
